[What is a carbide drill?]
It is a type of milling tool that pierces cylindrical holes in objects by rotating motion. With a spiral groove on the round rod for discharging chips, it is a tool with a cutting edge at the conically sharpened tip. While the end mill uses the peripheral blade to cut the walls, the drill makes holes by machining perpendicular to the workpiece in the Z axis direction. Some have a hole (oil hole) inside that penetrates to the tip so that cutting oil can reach the tip.
