A fan is a machine that gives energy to gas by rotating an impeller. Depending on the type of motor used, there are three main types: DC brush motors using permanent magnets for magnetic fields, DC brushless motors using permanent magnets for rotors, and AC motors using AC power supplies. There is also a difference in the shape of the blade.
