TPGBA is a damper that absorbs high-load energy. Suitable for every application where energy absorption is required, such as agricultural equipment and robot.
TPGBA-S is a damper that absorbs medium load energy.
Suitable for applications such as packing equipment and automated machines that require load slightly lower than that for TPGBA.

Usage Example/Method

(1) The impact energy for each pattern is calculated according to the following equations.

  • Free fall E = m × g × h
  • Inclined surface impact E = m × g × L × sinθ
  • Horizontal impact E = 1/2 × m × V2

h: Height (m)
L: Distance of inclined surface (m)
θ: Angle of incline
g: Gravitational acceleration (≒9.8 m/s2)
V: Velocity (m/s)

(2) According to the number of impacts, multiply the value obtained in (1) by the following coefficients.

  • Less than 1 (times/minute): 1
  • 1 or more and less than 2 (times/minute): 2
  • 2 or more and less than 4 (times/minute): 3
  • 4 or more (times/minute): TPGBR is recommended

(3) Select the size that will fit the value obtained in (2) from the energy capacity section of the specification table.
