When connecting racks for use, the pitch at the connecting sections must be aligned.
The pitch will not match if the ends are simply pushed together.
To align the pitch, one method is to use "matching racks" in which short racks are linked together during assembly. - Question:Question: How do I lubricate the rack?
- Answer:Answer: Oil bath lubrication or force-feed lubrication is recommended for gears; since oil bath lubrication is difficult for racks, grease lubrication is common.
