Thermometers are an important instrument in plastic mold production. In the plastic mold process, precise temperature control is mandatory. Not only during the molding process but also during pre-processing and post-processing, temperature control is also necessary. If the temperature hasn't been controlled precisely, the problem may occur, such as ""Filled mold"", ""Cracks in mold"", ""Vacuum void” or “Burnt mark”.Many different types of thermometers are available based on the type of use, such as ""Measure by contact directly to the target surface"" or ""Contactless measurement by laser"" which can be used far away from the target surface. Measured values show output in 2 types, mechanical and electrical. A mechanical output displays value with a dial scale; however, an electrical output displays value as a number on a digital display that is easier to read than a mechanical one. The electrical signals generated can be connected to a controller to form an automation system.
