Features of the Environmental Temperature and Humidity Meter AD-5686

Displays a list of Dryness Index (Absolute Humidity) / Heat Stroke Index (WBGT), temperature, and humidity
Upper and lower limit alarms can be set for temperature and relative humidity
Displays four levels of heat risk in hot environments
Displays two levels of influenza risk
Dryness Index Mode: Automatic lower limit alarm for dryness index (alarm setting values can also be changed)
Heat Stroke Index Mode: Automatic upper limit alarm for heat stroke index (alarm setting values can also be changed)
Auto Mode: Automatically switches between Heat Stroke Index Mode and Dryness Index Mode
Alarms are notified by buzzer sound and LED lamp (buzzer sound can be turned ON/OFF)
Can be installed either on a wall or placed on a desk
Heatstroke Index (WBGT)
The heatstroke index is an indicator used to assess the level of heat stress experienced by people in hot environments, including the risk of heatstroke.
A heatstroke index of 28°C or higher indicates 'Severe Warning, ' and 31°C or higher indicates 'Danger.'
Dryness Index (Absolute Humidity)
An index that represents the mass of water vapor contained in one cubic meter of air.
Regarding seasonal influenza outbreaks, when the dryness index (absolute humidity) is 11 g/m3 or lower, it is considered a "caution" level, and when it drops to 7 g/m3 or lower, it is considered a "warning" level. In both cases, the air is dry and moderate humidification is recommended.
*Note: This "dryness index" is defined and interpreted differently from the "dryness index" proposed by Dr. de Martonne.
Precautions for Use
This product does not completely prevent heatstroke. The onset of heatstroke is influenced by various factors such as thermal environment (temperature, humidity, radiant heat), individual differences (gender, age, medical history, and health condition), and situations such as exercise, work, and daily activities. Before use, please fully understand the characteristics of this product and use it only as a reference.
If you start to feel unwell while using this product, please take appropriate action such as moving to a cool place or consulting a doctor, regardless of the product's display.
This product was not developed or manufactured for medical purposes. This product is intended only as a general guideline for preventing seasonal influenza in daily life.
The seasonal influenza prevention temperature and humidity meter is not designed for use during outbreaks of novel influenza. In addition, this product does not prevent infection with seasonal influenza.
